Valerie Baber Designs: Yarn, Patterns, Hand Made accessories.

My knitting passion started with a homespun knitwear business, called “Hey, Diddle Diddle Knitwear". I designed and made knitted sweaters and hats for boutiques and other unique stores. Progressing from designing and knitting ready to wear children’s hats, sweaters and woman’s wear to the knitting world and began patterning my designs. Writing and designed patterns for my own line of designs and for the knitting magazine “Cast On”. After going to school for interior decorating as well as Interior Design I ventured into a new design adventure with ready to wear scarves and hand warmers for local galleries and my Etsy store. My crochet journey began during this time and I began designing and making ready to wear designs with a unique touch. This passion evolved into patterning my crochet designs so you can enjoy making them too. I love creating new designs with inspiration from various things I see. I am always creating something new so pop by often to see what I have created for you to wear or enjoy making.

Most of my creativity comes from things around me such as nature, colours, shapes, people and anything that catches my eye inspiring me to create. The texture, colour, feel and quality of Natural Yarns and Pure Fibres are my favourite to use in my unique designs.

As I continue to grow and expand my artistic business my designs will continue to change and evolve into new and creative exciting pieces. My goal is to design beautiful crochet pieces so you can enjoy making them, offer a lovely array of yarns for you to create with as well as make wearable art pieces to add flare and style to any wardrobe.

Custom and personalized orders

If you are not happy with the outcome of the design please let me know and we can work something out at the time. You need to let me know within 5 days of receive the item and it must not be worn prior to returning. You need to have permission from myself prior to shipping back so we can discuss any changes beforehand. The cost to ship back is the responsibility of the buyer.
